Liz began her career within the sector whilst studying at University and has since worked in a variety of management roles.
Liz was a CQC Inspector for 15 years but frustrated by the constraints of being the regulator, Liz wanted to make a real difference to the people who use the services, the staff and management teams and therefore took the move into the private sector in 2019. With her hands on approach, Liz has successfully supported a number of services to achieve a CQC rating of good, following sustained periods of non-compliance.
Liz’s knowledge and experience of the provision and regulation of care supports the delivery of high quality person-centred care. In her spare time, Liz is a Founder Board Member of the Colne Valley Care Cooperative, a not for profit domiciliary care service that has challenged the task and time ideology to focus on the importance of social prescribing.
